The Haven - smack in the middle of the posh bit of Wells |
The houses on this green were built for sea captains, merchants and rope makers. It's a five minute walk to the harbour and the beach is a mile beyond (a nice walk or drive). And of course, Wells is right in the middle of the stunning North Norfolk coastline. During the winter, one of our great natural spectacles happens at dusk and dawn each day, filling the sky above us. Giant flocks of Pink Footed Geese move between feeding on surrounding fields and roosting on the marsh amongst the Sea Lavender. |

The Haven in the centre of the Buttlands. The splendid Crown Hotel is on the right. And it's only a five minute walk to the harbour, if the wind is with you. Park in front of the house or anywhere around the Buttlands but please keep Green Dragon Lane car free because people live down there and need to squeeze past.
